As part of our commitment to becoming student focused, data-driven and results oriented, our district is engaged in the Strong Foundation Literacy Grant in partnership with our technical advisor, Ms. Kara Belew. This initiative aims to support our school district in creating, adopting, and implementing a comprehensive Reading and Language Arts (RLA) District Framework for students in grades PK-12.
In alignment with our focus on supporting teachers and staff, the grant program includes provisions to ensure that our teachers receive the necessary support and resources to effectively implement the RLA District Framework. We understand that successful implementation requires a collaborative effort and ongoing support for our educators.
Our commitment is to continuous improvement and ongoing support. Through collaboration, communication, and professional growth, we aim to empower educators to meet the needs of every student in our district.

Yesterday, students from La Joya HS joined in with La Joya ISD and EM3 in support of the "Drive Out the Darkness Event". The drive/parade began in Sullivan and concluded at the Mission Events Center.
As we join forces to create change, we are helping break the stigma and promoting empathy for those overcoming challenges. We are committed to comprehensive mental health support, understanding it's significance for well-being and academic achievement. A BIG thank you to everyone who participated in this event. YOU helped spread awareness about mental health's importance.
Together, let's stand strong and make a positive impact. #breakthestigma #mentalhealthsupport #em3 #ljhs #coyotepride #ljcoyotepride
