🌟 Finishing Strong Before the Break
As we enter the final five days before our well-deserved holiday break, our collective focus remains clear: ensuring students earn their semester credits and finish strong.
This priority spans all grade levels, and we want to recognize the exceptional efforts of our Freshman-On-Track teams. Their commitment to parent outreach, student conferencing, and collaboration has been instrumental as we work toward:
Board Goal: 75% Freshmen On-Track
PHS Goal: 90% Freshmen On-Track
👏 Special shout-out to Mrs. Vianey Chapa for sharing effective best practices that have helped students improve Semester 1 grades across multiple classes.
📈 Attendance Spotlight:
Our 9th grade students are leading the campus in attendance, showing tremendous growth and commitment. We look forward to celebrating the final results!
🔬 Instructional Spotlight: Science Department
Congratulations to our Physics teachers on the very positive feedback from Summit K-12 visitors! Observers noted:
Strong use of lesson structure
Consistent checks for understanding
High levels of student engagement through turn-and-talks and reflection
⭐ Special recognition to Ms. Abad for consistently stamping the lesson and pushing students to justify their thinking.

🟢 Gradebook Opens: Tuesday, Dec. 16
🔴 Gradebook Closes: Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Midnight
📄 Thursday AM (Dec. 18): Audit sheets printed
✍️ Thursday PM: Teachers review audit sheets
✅ Friday, Dec. 19: Grades finalized
